This 1959 MRSH Super Lead has traveled across continents, festivals, shows, and studios before making its way into our hands. A hot rod modification was carried out by one of its previous owners to replicate all the characteristics of the head used by Van Halen. From the preamp tubes to the dual-gain stage modification, and even replacing some diodes to smooth out the tone. The result? The sharpest, most visceral Plexi sound our engineers have ever heard. It still sounds like a Plexi, but it’s as if every other one has a blanket over the speakers. Well, since the modifications were done by Eddie himself, how could it sound bad? 
Oh, and we can’t forget to mention that some takes were recorded using a Variac to bring out the true “Brown Sound” from this gem. 
But we didn’t stop there. A custom cabinet was built from scratch with Eddie’s exact speaker configuration: two JBLs on the bottom and two Celestion Vintage speakers on top, mic’d with a Shure SM57 and a Royer Labs R-121.
